Kristen and Shawn: A Hamptons Vineyard Wedding

photography by: Christian Oth

written by: Molly Dembner

Kristen and Shawn love spending time in the Hamptons during the summer, so when Shawn proposed, the couple decided that a Long Island getaway would be the perfect spot for their nuptials.  With Kristen originally hailing from New Orleans and Shawn from Boulder, Colorado, this New York City couple wanted a beautiful setting that was close to their home but would also be a good compromise for their out of town guests.  They were struck by the lush greenery and gorgeous white hydrangeas at the Wolffer Estate vineyard and they settled on the spot immediately.

To make their guests feel more at home, Kristen and Shawn created special personalized menus and incorporated details that paid tribute to the location.  The couple put together Hamptons-themed gift bags which included local snacks like Tate’s cookies, North Fork Potato Chips and Wolffer Estate wine.  The bags were natural cotton totes which were reusable and earth-friendly, and had a map of the Hamptons printed on the front.

A special thanks to Kristen and Shawn for letting us feature their beautiful vineyard wedding.
