A Jackson Hole Outdoor Celebration

photography by: Alison Mayfield

written by: Molly Dembner

A small but intimate outdoor ceremony at the foot of the Grand Teton Mountains was just what Heather and Robert were looking for, and Amangani Resort and the Lost Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming provided the perfect setting.  With a guest list of just thirty close family members and friends, they were able to invite everyone to enjoy a week-long vacation in Jackson Hole, spent participating in their favorite outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and rafting.

After scouting many different ranches in the area, the couple found the Amangani Resort, which was the perfect combination of modern yet rustic.  It was a great contrast to the Lost Creek Ranch, which still functions as a working horse ranch, but the couple liked the fact that it was a bit unconventional.  Both venues were so naturally beautiful that it allowed for a simple, relaxed celebration in a beautiful outdoor environment.

Alison Mayfield from our studio shot this wedding, and she perfectly captured the beautiful simplicity and natural elegance of the occasion.

How is it that the colors in these photographs come out so beautifully? Is it Photoshop work done in post or does the camera capture the colors like that? Using my Nikon D90, I know for a fact the colors don't look that good. How can I get them like that using photoshop, any suggestions? I appreciate the info.
